In Spanish, the students enjoy learning through sight, song, repetition, and laughter, as our teachers believe that students learn best when they are having fun. It is widely held that those who start learning other languages in childhood will have significant economic advantages in later life if they continue to develop their language skills. With the globalization of businesses and populations growing increasingly cosmopolitan, the need for transactional knowledge of languages has become very important in both private and government sectors. Learning to speak multiple languages at a young age could, therefore, give students an advantage in the job market in later life.
Music Moves
Music class is a wonderful learning time. Studies have proven that children that are involved in music do better in school. At Kidd Academy, our students learn rhythm, notes, and beat counting. Music draws on multiple intelligences and accommodates a variety of learning styles. Music also offers another means of communication and creative expression. Read and Learn!
Library is a time of reading enjoyment where students may listen to a guest reader, choose a book to read to or with their teacher, or follow along to a story on CD. Our library time helps to build a strong love of books and expansive vocabulary. Research shows that a considerable amount of children's litracy skills are developed long before formal reading begins. Reading to our young learners is an integral part of education.
Hightech Kidd and Art-astic
Students at Kidd Academy get a jump-start on the basic operation of computers and learn parts of the computer, how they work, and basic typing skills. This program is based on your child's age; for example, toddlers are learning hand-eye coordination while our preschoolers are playing fun games that teach appropriate hand placement. During the second semester, we will learn about various artists, styles, colors and textures. This is a fun time of exploration and sensory building fun!
Talking Hands
Sign language is an exciting class at Kidd Academy! The students love showing us how they can talk with their hands and their mouths and we are proud to teach our students a unique tool that is highly beneficial as they grow. Research has demonstrated that children learn through fun, repetitive and engaging experiences. Sign Language is a great way to get mind and body moving together!
Bible Works
In Bible Works we will introduce children’s bible stories. This is a bible centered class. We will play fun games, do crafts and sing songs all while fellowshipping together!
